For proteins, the higher the BV the better because this means that it will be absorbed, retained and used by the body in large amounts.

2. Calcium

Milk is the best source of calcium you can get. Calcium is especially important to bodybuilders as it helps them have stronger bones. The last deficiency you want is a calcium deficiency that will make you break your bones just after 5 minutes of warm up! Calcium also takes part in the relaxation and contraction of your muscles.

3. Vitamins A and D

Vitamin A is responsible for the synthesis of the much needed macro nutrient called protein! This means that not only is milk rich in protein but it also goes an extra mile and actually helps the body synthesis some more of it on its own. Glycogen, the form in which energy is stored, is also synthesized by the help of vitamin A. vitamin on the other hand helps your body to absorb calcium. This means that if you are on calcium supplements but you have a vitamin D deficiency, all that calcium won't be absorbed. It also helps in the absorption of phosphorus which produces high energy molecules.
