The sun could be considered the most important part of our solar system, being that without it all other planets would be flying through the freezing vacuum of infinite space. Still in many ways it gets very little attention for what it does.
In some cases the sun actually is getting a bad rap. Cancer for example, it doesn't just come from the sun.
Cancer can come from a lot of things. It can come from poor nutrition, the invisible radio and telephone frequencies, and microwaves, which in all honesty, do come from the sun.
Between the mass amounts of random frequencies and microwaves bomb-barding our bodies, you may ask "how do we stop cancer?" The best defense is a good offense.
Provide your body with the necessary nutrition to fight cancer causing free radicals. You can do this through your diet and also by getting a healthy amount of sunlight.
Sunlight contains calciferol also known as vitamin d3. There are several other forms of the vitamin each with a unique function. Our bodies take calciferol from the sun and our kidneys and livers convert that into calcitriol which is plain old vitamin D. Vitamin D is important in the illumination of free radicals.
Free radicals may destroy cells or turn them cancerous. Once you have one cancerous, cell you have a problem.
A cancerous cell does not know that it is defective. So it keeps going through the process of mitosis, repetitively duplicating itself until it becomes fatal
New Research from Creighton University School of Medicine in Nebraska shows; that increasing your intake of vitamin d and calcium may reduce your chances of getting cancer up to 60 percent.
Not only does the sun help stop the free radicals from creating cancerous cells but calcitriol plays a vital role in the production of hormones and neurotransmitters.
Neurotransmitters are the wiring in your brain that sends sensations and receives information. It is very important to treat your neurotransmitters well and to talk care of them.
We all know what hormones are. Without hormones girls wouldn't be so girly and controversially men wouldn't be so manly.
Some ways to get a healthy dose of sunlight are easily found outside. If you do not wish to exert yourself while you are absorbing calciferol, just try sun bathing.
Swimming is excellent way to get sunlight, because the low amount of attire recommended for swimming will increase your surface area the sun has to shine against. The amazing thing about our bodies, we can absorb the suns vitamin any place sunlight hits our skin. Destry Masterson is an author who has written hundreds of articles.
