The liver works to detoxify your body every day. As you consume foods high in toxins you are also straining your liver.

The liver is not alone in this; the kidney is there to help. So if these toxins get passed onto the kidney and then the kidney can't handle it, that's when you start getting problems.

A buildup of toxins in the body can result in sickness or kidney stones. A good way to protect your liver and lighten the load of the toxins is to drink a lot of water.

Water will come through the liver and flush it out, just like a drive through car wash only from the inside out. Water sweeps in flushes toxins down and out of the liver this is beneficial for both you and the liver together.

The recommended amount of water is 8 glasses a day. If you are in dry and hot climates you may want to drink more than that.

This organ plays a major role in metabolism keeping your liver healthy will keep you skinny. If you have ever seen the pre-liver-transplant-patients you will notice they suffer from obesity.

That is because the liver is not working right and therefor they are not metabolizing the necessary nutrients. Besides not metabolizing they are also not detoxifying either, that is going to make them feel uncomfortable and sick.

Keeping your liver in good health will keep you in good health. The liver assists in protein synthesis.

Proteins are the building blocks of life, in the body there are cells and in cell there are proteins. Proteins build everything, they make up your muscles, your organs, your skin, and your eyes and there are even proteins to help hold other proteins together.

So it is important to have a healthy liver that knows exactly how to build and produce these proteins the correct way. Otherwise you may have feet for hands.

The interesting thing about the body is when one of the organs is working well it helps all the organs work well, controversially if you have an organ producing half power you are going to have the other organs working harder to pick up the slack.

There are a number of foods you can eat to help benefit your liver. You can eat broccoli, cauliflower, beets, and drinking hot water with lemon juice is good too.

Lemon juice in hot water is going to be a powerful external detox. This will take a lot of the strain away from the liver, and it will also help bowel motions.

Eating beets is a good way to clean your body. Beats are a blood-purifying tonic this well also lessen the work of the livers throughout the day.
