Being trim is not only being sexy - more to it is being healthy. There are many ways to shed-off unwanted pounds in your belly and waist but many weight losers do not really lose weight; they lose interest for various reasons. Various Assessments

Initial assessment of your trainer will delve on asking you some questions. This will pertain to your health and medical history. Then physical examination will be conducted. This will determine your fitness and risk factors to undergo the training. You may even be required to have some medical examination to check on any cardiovascular problems.

After the initial or preliminary assessment, you will undergo other tests and evaluation. Your trainer may want to determine your body mass index. This is a way of determining the body fat. Your cardio fitness is important so you will be tested for cardio endurance. You may be made to do running and walking exercises.

The next thing to be assessed about you is your flexibility. You will have a set of warm-up exercises followed by sit-and-reach test. This will determine the flexibility of your hips, hamstring and lower back.

Another assessment to be done on you is on body alignment. This is what you ordinarily know as posture. Did you know that posture pose problems on your joints and muscles? When your posture is examined, it may be corrected when there needs to be. Thus, your aches and pains can be alleviated. Proper posture should be observed when you walk, sit, stand and do exercises.

Designing The Program

Once your personal trainer has completed the assessment, he or she will design a program tailor-made for you. As every person is different from another, the programs for one person will not necessarily be the program for the other individual. The exercises will be prepared based on the result of the assessments. A definite schedule will be made with graduated changes in difficulty of different strokes and movements. A goal will be set and the program will be executed for the achievement of this objective.

In line with the exercises, you will also be given a diet - the right kinds of food to eat and the quantity of each kind. Exercising should go with right diet in order to achieve the desired goal.

Being trim and healthy may require hard work. You have to get a personal trainer in order to work with gusto and dedication. You do not do any movement that you want; it has to be designed by an expert in this field.
