Do you want to be more powerful, more dominating, more intimidating? Well building shoulders will give you a daunting and menacing look; this is especially useful for boxers, football players, and other such sport players where intimidation is accommodating.
So you want to become bigger and more impressive, well use an inflatable rubber ball. Yes they have some not-so-masculine connotations associated with them.
Someone says rubber ball, you think children during recess, not the intimidation that you are going for. You hear the term exercise ball; you think women and yoga, again not so macho.
The truth about these spherical training apparatus may astound you. These, because of their unique and intuitive design and function, train muscles harder than a lot of different work out tools.
There are plenty of exercises that, will not only bulk you up, but also train your body to perform much more effectively, and can be performed by using these inflatable exercise balls. The unique thing about these balls is they resonate with core muscles.
They will improve your coordination and balance, which will be greatly beneficial to all of you boxers out there. To work your deltoid muscles there are a few different work outs you can perform.
Firstly you may try the ball rear deltoid row. Lie horizontal on your ball and grab your dumbbells in each hand.
Raise your arms until your elbows reach a ninety degree angle. This will directly build deltoid muscle, and inadvertently affect a major portion of upper back muscles as well.
By performing these routines on the ball we require and added level of control and balance. Adding this to your work out will similarly add the control and balance to your performance.
To increase the intensity of the work out keep your arms at a ninety degree angle throughout, bringing them up using your shoulders. This will be much more difficult and will work your forearms as well.
To get the hard to reach lower and mid-section of the back try lateral resting arm raises. This is where you lay on your side so that your armpit is at the center of the top of the ball; hold your body and ball in position with your low hand, and lift your dumbbell toward the sky while keep your arm pointed and straight.
These workouts are developed to create more resistance than plain old dumbbell or ball exercises. By using the two together they synergistically compliment the effects of one another, thus maximizing the benefits that you as a trainee can take from it.
Men have just as much right to use the inflatable neoprene balls as women do, and they receive just as much benefit too. The amount of work you put into your routines will directly affect the amount you can take out. Destry Masterson is a health, fitness and nutrition expert.
