Becoming a laser tagger will increase your cardio performance immensely. It takes a lot of energy to run around and shoot your friends all day- believe me I know.
Making it a weekly activity will benefit your physical performance and your physique as well. Our bodies thrive on routine, if we start doing something within a regular time frame our bodies start becoming accustomed to that, and will prepare for it adequately.
So if we sleep in everyday it is going to be hard to wake up early on days that we want to, adversely if we wake up early every day we might have more trouble sleeping in--although I don't see the harm in not sleeping in.
So get yourself a group of friends and set up a weekly time and rendezvous, making this a habitual arrangement will start telling your body to work harder. Running through mazes are a great way to keep your body in shape.
A study done on mice showed that mice that were placed in mazes had cardio performance that was distinctly better than the mice that would stay in their cage all day. I think this scientific study is also a great metaphor.
If you don't want to be an overweight mouse you will have to leave your cage every now and again. Laser tag is one of the best motivators I know of to get out and start moving.
Who doesn't like running through obstacles and shooting each other with guns...no one. Running is the most beneficial cardio exercise that you could possibly perform.
That is why treadmills and running shoes are such marketable products, when really you don't need any of these things to start running. The reason people buy them is because they help them to get up and start being active and burning calories.
When exercises it becomes very easy to get lost in the tedium of it all. If you want to keep your mind occupied on other things it is good to find distractions.
Aiming to destroy your enemies is a wonderful distraction from what you are really doing: running through a maze, pointing a laser light at people. Keeping concentrated and focused on the maze and direction you are headed in will also raise your adrenalin.
Adrenalin is a chemical in the brain that increases your heart rate. During occasions that reduce us to instinctive action, our brain will release the adrenalin to get us pumped to either fight or take flight.
You have probably heard that term before, "fight or flight". Well when you are shooting at people with guns you will understand the term better than you could have ever imagined.
