There are tons of fast food chains all across the US: Carls Jr., McDonalds, Burger King and so on and so forth. In little tons one of each is not enough, no, here in my small town we have multiple McDonalds, and Multiple Burger Kings.
Why do we need so much fast food-- we don't. This fast food is infecting us as a society; dinner, what was once considered traditionally sacred and held in reverence is not being whored out like a prostitute.
Get the cheapest fastest dinner you can and move to the next one, it doesn't matter what type of disease you receive from your nauseating meal. Eating fast food daily is terribly unhealthy.
Even though they all meat FDA standards, doesn't mean they are harmless. Set up your own standards and live by them, don't let the FDA choose what's good for you and what's not.
FDA recommend you get 70 mgs of vitamin C a day, that's a nice thing to recommend, but that only prevents the manifestation of the worst symptoms of scurvy. I suggest you shoot for a thousand-now isn't that suggestion a bit nicer.
So the FDA's suggestions are nice for keeping you from catching any formidable diseases, but they aren't really that great for just keeping you healthy-who knew? So when the FDA goes around to the fast food restaurants and puts a stamp that says approved, they are really saying, "eh good enough."
Looking at some of the nutritional facts form the foods they serve at these places will astound you. It is almost as if they are trying to give Mother Nature a heart attack.
Who here has had burger kings triple whopper? This beasty burger contains close to 1000 calories, and approximately half of those are calories from fat.
So if you are on the "FDAs" prescribed diets, you can eat two of these each day without going over your calorie limit. Although I can guarantee you that if you eat two burgers that are half fat every day you will start to gain weight; it's like eating one burger that has no fat and another burger that is only fat... think about it.
When it comes to eating, Mother Nature knows best. If you want to be healthy and fit, you are going to have to go out of your way to do it... I'm sorry that's the way it is.
I wish there was healthy food for cheap readily available through drive up windows, but there is not. The closest thing we have to that is subway. Destry Masterson is a health and nutrition expert. She publishes articles for http://www.foodinsurance.com and recommends them for food storage.
