Merengue Your Way To Fitness

Traditional merengue is danced in a close position between two people. The leader will have the follower's waist in his right hand and her right hand in his left hand.

In merengue the lead position is passed back and forth giving the man and women equal opportunity to direct the dance flow. This gives it a bit of sporadic and exciting rhythm.

The unpredictability of the dance is what makes it so interesting and keeps the dancers on their toes. The infrequent routine will keep your heart pumping and your cardio blasting.

Dancing is one of the best ways to get your cardio in shape. For a lot of reason, the main being it keeps you motivated to keep moving.

When you are dancing with a partner your energies will feed off each other. By them moving it will make it easier for you to move.

Also the rhythm of the music will keep your body energized and pumped throughout the routine. When we hear music it resonates within the vestibular nerve, which controls balance and equilibrium.

Because our balance and equilibrium are being tantalized by the prevailing tones of merengue we feel compelled to move with the rhythm. This is why people will unconsciously tap their fingers our toes to the beat of a song.

This has been scientifically proven many times. And now they have heavy dance music in a lot of gyms.

Dancing is a good work out for the thighs and buns, which hold most of the body's fat, besides the stomach. Using our legs is the best way to burn fat.

Because the muscles are so big, we can use them for hours at a time. Continues cardio routines are the best way to burn calories.

Burning calories comes from increased levels of heart rate, so by dance you won't just burn the fat off your bottom, but you will also burn the fat from your entire body. Isn't that exciting to hear?

This dance is also a great way to work your obliques and get rid of those unsexy love handles. The dancers will bend their knees left and right so to cause their hips to sway left and right.

This will burn the calories revealing a nice and skinny torso. The movements from the dance will shape the muscle so that you are leaned and toned.

Merengue isn't just for women, it is for guys too. Without men who are the ladies going to dance with.

So come on guys start doing some merengue to get your body in shape. This will probably make your spouse happy.
