Becoming fit doesn't just come with routine exercise. It is a life changing experience.
When I say it is life changing I mean you have got to be willing to change your life for fitness. If you are unfit let us examine the issue.
Are you overweight? Is this because of your exercise habits, your eating habits or maybe both?
Hopefully not both, but in many sad cases yes people have a problem with being active and a problem with eating garbage food. To get fit, start by setting aside one hour every day.
This hour should be used for exercise and this means use the whole hour. You don't have to do pushups for a straight hour; simply do pushups for a few minutes, then some sit ups and then burn the rest of the time walking.
That's not so hard is it? The first few times you start exercising you will probably struggle to keep it going.
But like anything it gets easier and easier with practice. Keep that in mind, so when you run your first mile instead of thinking how hard it was just think about how it is going to be easier next time.
The first thing to getting fit is motivation you must have the motive to get up and start working toward your fitness. Otherwise nothing will happen.
Some people will take steroids for their motivation, which will definitely give you a boost. But at the same time it has a lot of negative repercussions so I would advise against it.
The next step is desire. Well, desire and motivation go hand and hand.
Truth is Desire precedes motivation; it will fuel the motivation to keep you moving and keep you strong. Finding a desire to change your life and become fit isn't that hard.
Find goals and work toward them. Remind yourself of what you want and why you are exercising; maybe it is so you can get a hotter girlfriend, or maybe it is so you can live longer, whatever the case may be keep it in mind to fuel that motivation.
Last step is consistency. Remember fitness is a life style not just a choice or an action, but a collection of choices and actions.
If you want to maintain a physique that is appealing and strong, you will need to turn healthy choices into daily habits. Which really isn't that hard, once you see how comfortable and enjoyable being fit is you will wonder why you never tried it before.
