Fitness is important that is no secret. Well for some of us knowing of its importance is not enough to get us motivated to go out and work for our fitness.
So let's look at some of the facts. Running can do many things to protect your body; it will decrease the chance of you ever contracting heart disease, having a heart attack, hyper tension and even stroke.
Besides keeping your heart and circulatory systems up in tip top shape, it also does a great deal for your looks. Believe it or not, but studies have shown running actually secretes the same hormone that some inject into their face for a younger appearance.
Who doesn't like looking young and beautiful? Besides by getting it the healthy way you don't have to pay a doctor thousands of dollars to stick a needle in your face; so that's a bonus in its self.
Obviously running will tone your muscles and make them a great deal stronger, but did you know that it will also strengthen your bones. It is true the added blood flow to the muscles will actually take more nutrients to the bone, thus making them stronger and healthier.
Not only will it help you to have a sleek sexy body that is that looks as if it were chiseled by the gods and matched to the proportions of Da Vinci's original David, but it will also make your joints more flexible. Flexibility is increasingly important for us as we age.
It is very important that you stretch before you start running. If you are planning on running in the morning you should do some jumping jacks before you even do your stretches.
It takes a minute for your muscles to wake up if you haven't been using them for a few hours. So by doing jumping jacks in the morning you will wake up your muscles, thus making the stretch actually effective.
After your run it is important to stretch again. Stretching will not only strain the built up toxin in the muscles preventing soreness, but it will also further tone and strengthen your muscles.
Many people will say there is a set for to running; however, this is not true. Every person's body is different, so what I suggest is you run and let your body put you in a position that is comfortable for you.
Jogging works your entire body; you may find that over time your jogging position changes. This is because the muscles you use to support yourself are being strengthened every time your run.
Your body knows best and will overtime get itself into a position that is naturally right for you. Remember to make running a habitual routine and be happy about it.
