Exercise And Brain Correlation

Your brain is probably the most important organ in your body; although placing importance on organs may be considered subjective to some, I would submit that my brain is the most important bit of my body.

So I investigated ways to keep it fit and healthy and I found some rather interesting facts. First over it is important to note that our body's organs work synergistically with each other.

So strengthening one organ or benefiting one organ is consequently going to benefit the other organs in your body and will have an impact on your overall functioning. It is interesting to see when we clean out the kidney and liver, by eating healthy and performing exercises like yoga and jogging, how our thoughts become more clear and clean.

This is because we do not have as many toxins in our blood flowing through our brain. When we have clean unadulterated blood our organs can use it more easily and more effectively, without having to sort through all the nasty toxins that can be quite the inhibitors for us.

When we exercise our lungs with cardio exercises like jogging, running or bike riding, we are increasing the amount of oxygen we can take in, while simultaneously increasing the strength of our hearts. Cardio exercises are the best way to get your brain functioning in tip top condition.

When we strengthen our heart and lungs it becomes easier for us to distribute blood throughout the body. Blood is like body like money is to world it causes it to "go round".

Our brains require oxygenated blood to feed oxygen to our brain cells. This will keep our brain cells alive longer and it will get them working faster and better too.

Every cell in our body need oxygen to stay alive and the brain cells perhaps most of all. With just a few seconds of no oxygen the brain will start to deteriorate.

When this happens people end up with varying degrees of brain damage. So you can see how important it is to have a strong cardiovascular system not just for your hearts sake but for your brains sake as well.

Anaerobic exercise can actually have a bad effect on the brain. The continuous and repetitious breaks from air can actually contribute to the destruction of brain cells.

So when you are performing your weight lifting or your anaerobic exercises, you will want to get in a good habit of breathing regularly in-between reps to keep a good amount of oxygen coming to your brain.

Other good ways to preserve brain health is to eat foods with complex carbohydrates and glucose in them along with omegas and anti-oxidants. Proper amount of sleep plays a huge roll in brain functions as well.
