Statistics show that people are steadily gaining weight. This is not necessarily a good thing, in fact it could be considered quite bad.
Overweight people are at a higher risk of heart failure, heart disease, and also social embarrassment. Not to mention that is just plain old unattractive.
The mounting weight problem has been growing steadily for a little while now. I would submit that it is closely related to the development of the fast food and food industries.
It is no mystery that eating garbage is going to make you gain weight, but still so many of us eat and partake. There are many reasons why we do this: the food tastes like candy, we are addicted to the monosodium glutamate they inject in the food, and it is fast and convenient.
The food they make is tasty there is no denying that, it is a fact. Fast food corporations actually take all meat they grind up in the gigantic cow blenders and they add the flavoring.
The flavoring they add usually is spices that are made in a laboratory; a very popular additive is MSG. Monosodium glutamate is an excito-toxin, which if you think that sounds like some sort of drug you would be right.
In essence this chemical is a very much an addictive substance and furthermore causes a lot of problems to our health. So why do fast food companies add it to all their food.
It is simple enough to understand, if you can get everyone addicted to your food then you will have customers for life. Mix the addictive MSG chemical with their marketing scheme you have a couple of evil geniuses feeding the population.
They aim to get the kids addicted while they are young; just like tobacco companies did in the sixties. All though, there are still no laws preventing the children directed advertisement scheme.
Besides being injected wills chemical flavors and addictive additives, this food has been completely depleted of its nutrients. Surely you know that nutrients are good for you.
They glue all this junk together with so many fillers and binders, to get the most for their money, that a lot of what you are eating isn't even real food. What happens to this junk when we eat it?
It becomes filler in our body. These additives are hard for our stomach to digest, and some of these chemicals our intestines do not know how to metabolize.
So it just gets turned into a fat deposit, where the body says we will deal with you later. Unfortunately later never comes for some people and they live with the extra grease for their entire life.
