What is the most primal instinct that is installed in all men, from the greatest business man to the smallest midget? The answer: fear.
Fear can be a great motivator, but it can also be a great destroyer. We must learn to act in spite of fear; learning mixed martial arts will help us do that.
Confidence is a funny thing and is not always rationally perceived or instilled, but that is ok. Even though you may be good at only one thing you could be the most confident gregarious man alive, on the other hand, you could be good at many things and still lack confidence to associate with people.
It has been statistically shown that martial arts and fighting skills create more confidence than any other sport or hobby. Why that is: instinctively we feel secure when we know we can kick somebody's butt, it gives us a sense of control and dominance.
Learning martial arts won't just help you to make short lives of your enemies, but it will also give you more confidence with women, business and over all life. Ask yourself, is that not something you really wouldn't want to have?
If your answer was no, maybe recount the negatives. The answer you meant was yes, that is something that I would not want to not have; or in lemans terms: yes that is something I would like to have.
Well good, do you feel comfortable with using moves that may be fatal on an attacker who is trying to murder, rape, or mug you? Well if your answer was no this time you may want to go change your previous answer.
The martial arts focus is on pressure points and weak spots on the body. Routines in such styles of fighting train the body to react instinctively like a snake.
These are meant to take opponents down with very few moves and either cause them unconsciousness or death. However, there are styles that train the fighter to make their opponents bleed from the inside, puke blood, or even rupture a spleen.
These are called internal martial arts; these are much more technical than the other external martial arts. The external martial arts take advantage of breaking necks, limps and also scratching the eyes or groin off.
There are different styles that are suitable for different people. For smaller people, one of the technical styles will be better.
For larger people, one of the more external styles would be better. If you mix the several martial arts styles, you will be best equipped to protect yourself.
I personally would start with the leopard and snake techniques and then learn dragon fighting style. This will give you a pretty well rounded knowledge of fighting.
