Health is very important to life. Health is life's precursor without health there would be no life.
That means if you want to live a full and happy life, you will have to work towards health. That is a funny way to say it, but most of the things we will do for our health are not really work at all.
First thing we need to do for health, is eat. You heard me right I said go out and eat.
This doesn't mean go splurge on a big box of cupcakes, unless you are going to give it to your office associates, but go get some good healthy food like apples and oranges. Eating healthy is going to greatly improve your quality of life.
Our bodies run of the things we eat; the nutrients we put into our body are going to help replenish and nourish our bodies. That is why some people say, "you are what you eat", and though it is not to be taken literally (because obviously I am neither an apple nor an orange) it is in some ways true.
The next thing we need to focus on for better health is physical activities. As long as you are physically active in what you do you don't need to take on any additional exercises.
But for those of us who work in an office, at a desk, sitting down all day we should probably have some extracurricular health activities. All you need to do is start walking.
Studies were done among two groups of people; the first group was overweight and the second group was at a healthy weight. They measured the amounts of energy used in a single day and the amount of exertion performed.
The overweight people spent on average an hour and a half more each day sitting than the healthy group. The healthy group spent that extra time either walking, or running or doing something.
With the few extra calories that extra hour and a half burned, the overweight people could lose up to 36 six pounds a year. With proper nutrition losing more than that is an easy possibility.
Find some outdoor activity that you enjoy go biking, hiking or even swimming. Anything that gets you moving is worth doing.
Next is rest this is the third most important part of health. Lack of sleep can lead to all sorts of problems.
Sleeping right is a big factor in health; it helps the muscles rebuild and replenish and it also provides time for your brain to do the same. Lack of sleep can result in grogginess and lethargy.
