Anti-aging Facial Exercises

Working your face, why is this not more popular? Everybody and their dog wants to look younger.

Well guess what, it is easily attainable just by simple exercises in the face. There are plenty of muscles in the face, and I mean a lot.

The simple act of frowning at the idea of exercises take 37 muscles and that is without making your eyebrows looked concerned or sad. When a renowned plastic surgeon was asked his thoughts on facial exercises to prevent ageing he said, "It only makes sense."

Why shouldn't it, basically if we want to get rid of flabby arm meat we exercise our arms, and if we want to get rid of chunk thighs we walk them off. So if you want to tighten and tone your face, and look like you are twenty instead of fifty you need to start doing some facial exercises.

These are obviously low intensity exercises that won't even make you sweat, but are still quite affective. You can even perform these exercises in your car, and despite looking like a fool to fellow drivers passing by, this would be quite an effective use of your driving time.

There are specific areas that a lot of people have trouble with, probably the most notable would be the goiter. This is the area directly beneath the chin, that seems to get very saggy and uncomfortably loose as women, in particular, (but men too) age.

It kind of makes those old folk look like turkeys, and especially when those old ladies have the cracking voices...well sometimes I'm convinced women evolved from birds. Anyway, that is beside the point.

If you want to prevent yourself from looking like worn out old turkey you should start doing the chin stretch exercise. To do this tilt your head back like you are turkey staring up into the rain, now extend your lower jaw as far out as possible like you have an over bite.

You will fill the stretch in the neck this is good, and that is what we want. When we feel the tension we know we are doing it right.

Another problematic area would be cheeks. Although some people claim to like chubby cheeks, we all know truth is they would like it better if they weren't there.

Well good news, you can get rid of them; have you seen the movie scream?-Good.

Try to imitate that face; open your mouth as wide as possible while making an o shape, for an added stretch stick your tongue out and try to look at your eyebrows. You want to feel the strain in the cheeks with this one, so stretch it until you feel the pain.

Remember no pain no gain. Although the worst pain you will feel with these is the pain of embarrassment, but truthfully they do tone your face.
