We all want to be healthy but for many we choose to ignore the lifestyle changes necessary to promote this. There are many reasons for this including laziness and denial; however one of the main barriers for people is fear of failure. However it really doesn't need to be like these as simple changes can go a long way. So with that in mind the following are 5 simple tips to ensuring you stay healthy.
1) Identify Food Intolerances
Food intolerance can cause many problems for suffers. According to the leading charity Allergy UK, 45% of the population suffers from symptoms of food intolerance and a recent survey showed that 31% of sufferers had had to take between one day and one week off work due to their food intolerance symptoms in the last year. By finding out the foods which your body reacts to you can begin to increase and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
2) Drink Plenty Of Water
You've probably been told this again and again however drinking water really does improve your health. As a general guideline you should be aiming for 2 litres of water a day (not counting tea, coffee or juices). Aim to stagger you intake throughout the day to replenish your body, a good tip is to take a 500ml water bottle with you to work and aim to drink the whole contents and refill every two hours. You'll be amazed at how much better you feel if you make this simple lifestyle change.

Remember mostly fruit and vegetables count towards this guidelines including frozen, canned and dried varieties so you there is little reason to not add some colour to your food. Just like water, increasing your intake will go a long way to feeling revitalized and also help you to stay alert and become more active.
