Food, Everything You Could Ever Need To Know

Food is anything that is consumed to provide nutrients to the body. However, these days it is not a being used for nutritious purposes the way Mother Nature intended.

Many people eat for pleasure, for comfort or even for boredom. This is becoming a majorly huge problem in western society.

The problem lies with the food industry, which is one of the biggest industries in all of the U.S. You see, America makes good food.

I worked at as a server for about two years; we would get a lot of foreigners and tourists, and the thing that impressed them most was the quality of our food. And this wasn't even a particularly good restaurant I worked at.

I have many second hand accounts of how terrible food is every outside of the states too, particularly in Europe. That is probably why the British are so sullen, but at least they are skinny.

European weight loss shows are very different from the kind we have, mainly because all the participants in their shows look like after shots from the people in ours. But it's fair because we have straight teeth and they have funny accents, so I think both those attributing factors about evens the playing field.

Food is to be eaten for substance and nutrition, not for pleasure or emotional purposes. People that associate eating with bad experiences or good experiences or any emotional experiences at all, tend to be a little larger than those who just eat to fulfill their body's needs.

This is called emotional eating, and it happens when eating gets out of hand, when you start eating for reasons besides hunger. This can be a real bad habit to try and break, probably go get some help from a psychiatrist or psychologist.

I would recommend the psychologist, otherwise your trading bad eating habits for bad prescription drug habits. Either way, these doctors will help you start eating right.

It is good to look at the food pyramid and build your diet off of that. Make sure you get enough grains to support comfortable energy levels throughout the day.

Make sure you get your vitamins and nutrients; these will come from your fruits and vegetables. Many people substitute fruits and vegies for a multi-vitamin.

That can add some strain to your liver and kidney. It is much better to just get your nutrients from eating healthy foods.
