It is becoming increasingly difficult day by day to stay in shape. There are so many electronica distraction that encapsulate your attention and freeze from motion.

These distractions can come in many different forms from television to computers to prescription drugs. Yes the world we live in is quite definitely insane.

Many people have jobs that force them to be in an office for eight hours straight. The human body was not designed to be sitting for such long periods of time.

In fact, did you know sitting applies more pressure to the back than standing, interesting huh? You see, when you are standing your latissumus dorsi is actually being flexed to hold your spine in line, when are sitting it is just dead weight from our shoulders pressing down on your spinal column.

So with all this sitting and crazy chemical ingesting day of age, how does anyone manage to stay fit? Well it is easy really, get a gym membership.

You could try exercising on your own, but that hardly ever works. It is much easier to get fit I you surround yourself with many people with similar interests.

There have been many studies performed by psychologist and as it turns out, people that surround themselves with other fitness junkies will generally be more inspired to work harder toward their fitness goals. This will make losing weight or gaining muscle much easier.

You see people these days are stressed for time since the moment they are born. We all have to be constantly running otherwise we will lose in the metaphorical race of life.

This brings me to another reason when you are at a gym you are going to be able to utilize your time so much more affectively to get the results you want. When you go running there is a specific amount of energy it takes to burn calories.

At a gym you can switch between many different cardio exercises, thus making the most out of your weight loss exercises. It has been clinically proven that people that exercise in a gym lose fat up to two times faster than people who do not exercise in a gym.

Not to mention you are going to be able to shape your body much easier with all the equipment they have at gyms. I mean there is hardly any way you are going to be able to pack a pound of muscle on to those hard to hit areas like the pectorals every month without using a butterfly press or a load of different machines.

So take advantage of a gym and start exercising now. That way you can save your sorry hide from growing into a disfigured lazy lump.
