There are a growing number of people who in one way or another are doing their level best to keep themselves as fit as possible. This could be by spending an hour having a good strenuous workout at a gym in London or jogging for miles around the streets of Newcastle, the result could be the same.
The fact that they get off your backsides and make a concerted effort to give their body what it needs is very commendable. If for whatever reason you find that you want to do the same then there are many options for you to choose from, it is all a matter of personal choice but whatever you choose to do will be beneficial to your health.
Many people are exercise junkies who are never happy unless they are pushing their bodies to new limits. For them exercise is a pleasure that usually has to wait until they have done the more mundane things in their lives like a day's work. There are some who will even forsake their lunch if it means that they can go for a quick jog around the nearest park just to keep them happy.
Initially you will probably find it easier to start off doing your chosen exercise at a pace that you are comfortable with. If for example you think that you might like jogging, don't try and cover too much distance on your first few runs as you will need your body to get used to this new routine.
It is a good idea to try and run on different surfaces and maybe up and down a few inclines, just to vary the amount of effort that you have to put in. Always remember however that your body knows best and it will let you know if you have over done it, but more than likely not until the next morning.
If you wake up and you find that you hurt everywhere then you know that you have done too much, so learn from your mistake. On the other hand, you may find that the little voice in your head tries to tell you that you have done enough when you know that you can carry on for a little while longer. This is normal and can be resolved by simply ignoring it as it will soon give up trying and let you get on.
No matter what exercises you decide to do the same rules apply, start easy and build yourself up gradually and at a sensible rate. It is much better for you to take regular sensible exercise and try to make it part of your everyday routine than busting a gut trying to change in a month or two.
You may find that after a while you can progress to a workout at a gym in London or a long run around Newcastle, the option is there if you feel so inclined. It is sometimes beneficial to go to a gym when you need to up your game so to speak as that after all is what they are there for.
