Many people want to be strong, so they go sign up for a gym membership. However, if you just want to get stronger there are few better ways to do so than by training against your own body weight.
When you work at the gym using weights and machines, you are isolating specific muscles which is good if you want to bet big and ripped fast, but not so good if you just want to be more powerful. If you have a desire to actually get ripped and powerful to the core, you should start doing body weight training.
You see when you do these types of exercises you have to keep your whole body under tension. Look at with pushups, you have to keep your back aligned, your legs straight and for added intensity do it slowly and look forward while you do the pushup.
When you are doing a sit up, you have to keep your legs in place, you have to prevent your body from sliding back while exercising, and for added intensity look toward the ceiling while you do the exercise. You see, these exercises effect every muscle in the body, from the inside out.
Not only do the build a lot more core muscle than weights or machines do, but they are also going to burn a lot more calories too. If you want a full body routing that will get you warn out here is what you should do.
Start with a good jog just to get your blood pumping. Jogging is a good way to get your heart rate up, and this will prepare you for workouts to come.
Next let's go to pushups or pull ups, these are going to be the two most difficult exercises you can do. I like to start with pushups to better affect my triceps, trapezoids, and pectorals.
Then I go to the sit ups, to give my arms a break. Once I finish these I go to the pull ups.
When you are doing sit ups you should try it with as many different variations as possible. do a straight leg curve, then lay your legs to your left side with a ninety degree angle in your knees and do your sit up.
Then reverse it and place your legs laying to the right. Doing this is going to affect your oblique's.
Once you have done your pushups, sit ups, and pull ups, then it is time to do your squats. Squats are one of the best body weight exercises that can be performed.
They will affect your buttocks, your thighs, your calves, and even your lower back. If you follow this routine there is no part of our body that will not be affected.
This is an easy way to build muscle without spending money on a gym membership. Good luck. Destry Masterson is a fitness expert who publishes articles about exercise equipment such as http://www.nordictrackcoupons.com/ellipticals/reviews/product/nordictrack-act-elliptical and many others.
