I was playing who wants to be a millionaire, and the question was: what vitamin is going to best prevent blood clots? Like a dope, I was thinking my almond milk says, "Vitamin E, heart health".
So I decided to go with E, because you know heart and circulatory stuff are similar. The correct answer was K, and I lost 180,000$.
It is a good thing that all that money was fake, and I was only playing a silly phone app. If I had actually missed out on that much money, I may have gone crazy, but instead I found condolence in the fact that I could prevent blood clots by getting vitamin K.
This sparked my interest and I decided to do a little research. This phylloquinone (vitamin K) actually does a lot more than just stops blood clots.
Besides preventing blood clots and saving lives, this is also going to help prevent your bones from fracturing and prevent prostate cancer. For you women, it helps against postmenopausal bone loss. So you see, this stuff is better than you thought; because, honestly, who has ever taken the time to think about vitamin k?
Practically no one will talk about this vitamin, and I think it is because hardly anyone really knows about it. Here is what we are going to do, let's spread awareness of this nutrient, just like google is spreading awareness of Ron Paul.
Have you been bruising easy, bleeding excessively, breaking bones easily, or having problems with calcification of blood vessels and heart valves? If you are experiencing one or more of these symptoms, you may be suffering from a lack of an essential nutrient; vitamin K.
Here is what you will have to do, get yourself some spinach and start eating it. Eat a lot of it; get it in a salad with boiled spinach on the side and with a spinach smoothie to wash it all down.
Or you can eat kale; you know that funny looking stuff that usually decorates salad bars. Well you can actually eat this stuff, and what is more, it is actually good for you.
The good thing about this nutrient is you can eat as much as you could possibly handle, and there will be no adverse effects for doing so. So, if you if are planning on not dying from a blood clot or miss-calcification in the heart valves you should probably start getting some more spinach and kale in your diet.
And this will help you to stop bleeding all over the place. So you won't have to be so embarrassed about that.
Now things will be a lot cleaner and a lot healthier since we know where and how and why we should get our vitamin k. Share it with your friends.
