These shoes designed by Skechers are supposed to tone up your buttocks and give you sexy legs and a straight back. Well that is a good plan, and shoes that help you do that, I would do it.
Though I checked these out, and I think they might be more effective as a dumbbell than a shoe. The ergonomic design of these is supposed to straighten out your back and align your spine.
However, I didn't find anything to mind blowing about these. Perhaps you will burn a few more calories every day... perhaps.
But if you want a real exercise that works your buns and thighs you might as well try walking in high heels all day. If you are a man try walking on your tippy toes all day.
Doing this simple action will actually help you a lot more than these "miracle shape up shoes". The Thing about health and fitness is, if it comes with a gimmick that is probably all it is.
Everyone wants to find a short cut that makes them fit and healthy, but there really are no short cuts. It takes work and exercise.
If you want to get better legs and thighs with a more aligned spine, start running regularly. The shape ups will probably help a little, just because of how heavy they are.
But I would say buying these is more a matter of desperation than actual desire. You see if you really want to get back to a size zero, or whatever your unrealistic health goal is, you have to do a lot of work for it.
Spending hard earned cash on some trick shoes is only going to end in regret. In fact even spending easily earned money on these is going to end in regret.
I'm sorry I think these should be stricken from the market, and I don't think the scientist backing the shape up is a legitimate scientist. They may as well come in a package with a fitness/power band, and a four leaf clover.
If you really want them get them, but also get some good running shoes. So when you want to start losing that weight and toning your buttocks you have some shoes you can run in.
Or what you could do is fill these shoes with your spare change; that would add some weight and resistance to each step. This is going to be a great way to get a little extra "umph" out of your walking.
All in all if I had to give these shoes a score I would say 3 out of 10. Three is for the fun idea and the effort, but also for the lack of effectiveness.
