ViPR is an exercise routine that makes use of a funny ram rod type tube with two handles on it. I searched the internet for a good four minutes and I couldn't find what the heck that this is called.
But if you search Google for ViPR you will see some videos of some rather fit looking Europeans flailing that tube-ish weight around. What this does is it builds functional muscle.
Regular weight lifting is going to isolate muscles, meaning the muscle you build you will only be able to use for specific purposes, such as lifting more weight. But with this you build muscles through advanced and intricate compound exercises that target muscles all the way down to the core.
So if you want to be strong, not just look strong, than this is a very effective routine. However while doing this routine you have to sacrifice all your dignity, because frankly these exercises look ridiculous.
Though I bet when the dumbbell was first invented, many people probably laughed at how ridiculous the prospect of standing in one place and exercising one muscle for an undetermined amount of time must be. Now days, such behavior is actually quite normal.
So even though you may feel quite awkward and out of place doing the ViPR workouts at first, just know that you are actually paving the way for future exercise routines. It is actually quite an ingenuous routine, and is the best way to build a shapely upper body.
The ViPR workout usually is taught in a boot camp like environment, but you can actually order your own ViPR tube and start your exercises on your own. It comes with information that also teaches you how to build an injury-proof running body too.
Just because it is a tube doesn't mean you can't get a whole body workout with it. In fact, it is very easy to work your entire body.
You can use this to add some extra intensity to your squats and your lunges, and this is going to really tighten those core muscles that will shrink your waist line and tighten up your buttocks. For the most part though, this is going to benefit upper body development better than any other workout routine.
I could see this workout being used by football players, wrestlers and even gymnasts all. This isn't just going to make you stronger, but it is going to make you faster and better.
It trains core muscles which are an integral part of performance that is not affected during regular weight lifting routines. Start doing your ViPR routines today, and see for yourself how much it can change your life.
