First off, who wants to look like some dumb meat head? Well those guys at the gym that spend all their time swallowing protein bars and pumping iron; they don't know about looking good, they only know about being huge with big muscles.
The Hollywood trainers that prepare their clients (famous actors) for their jobs, they know how to get some real results. They don't just bulk the crap out of these guys; they make them strong from the core, inside out.
First thing these people know that the body builders do not, is proper nutrition. Whole foods with lots of vegies and fruits, and also a lot of protein if you are trying to build muscle, this is proper nutrition.
Diet is a huge part of any fitness endeavor and the sooner you learn that the better. Meaning you cannot be eating McDonalds every day, you are going to have to spend some time in the grocery store buying foods that are actually good for you.
Hollywood trainers would tell you, eat more. Eat more often that is.
Eating six smaller meals a day is going to help you to stay lean and mean. By eating three smaller meals and three snacks each day you will increase your BMR (basal metabolic rate) and this will create fat loss and muscle gain.
The next thing they will tell you is to work harder not longer. Instead of running for an hour, run as fast as you can for two minutes.
This is called HIIT (high intensity interval training). This exercise routine is proved to be more than three times as affective as jogging for long periods of time.
Instead of exciting your heart to a 60% beat rate, you are going to push it to its max. This is like weight lifting for your heart, except it doesn't have any negative consequence.
In fact studies have shown that after a routine of HIIT the body will burn fat for up to 48 hours after the routine. With jogging you only burn fat during the exercise.
These Hollywood trainers have been making people look good ever since the invention of the cinema. If you are trying to get a good looking body, I would take their advice over some bulky meatheads.
But then again, it really is all up to your own personal discretion. Some people are going to have to be bulky meat heads, and some people are going to be slender movie star looking.
Take their advice and get your body in the shape of your life. This is going to be the best advice you have ever taken. Destry Masterson is a health, fitness and nutrition expert. She has written articles about exercise and recommends http://www.proform.com for information about exercise equipment.
