The main machines you are probably familiar with are the press machines. There is the chest press, the incline press, and also the peck deck.
Then there are also many newfangled all-in-one package deal home workout gyms or whatever the heck they are called these days. These machines are the best way to bulk up fast.
Gym equipment is great for building outer muscle; this is going to give you a really powerful and intimidation look. Other workouts affect core muscle more and create leaner bodies.
When using machines you are practicing muscle isolation. This is where you only put stress on one muse at a time, and this is the best way to get results fast.
But because you are isolating your muscles during these exercises you are going to have to set up circuits to go through, so you can get a nice and even workout. The more weight you use, the more muscle you will gain.
However, if you cannot push all the way through the exercise you might be trying to take on too much. Find a weight were you can do 10 to 15 reps max.
During your last rep try to hold it mid-way through for as long as possible, this is going to create an intense burn in your muscle. When you feel this burn be comforted in knowing you are effectively tearing and ripping apart the muscles in your body.
Be sure to give yourself an entire week of rest after you do heavy weight training. It will usually take about five days or more for full muscle recovery, and even if you are not sore within three days doesn't mean that your muscles are all healed up.
Soreness comes from lactic acid build. So pre-weight aerobics and post-weight stretches will greatly relieve a lot of the lactic acid coagulation in the muscles, doing these will take the soreness out of exercising.
Steam rooms and saunas are great for relieving tension and soreness as well. With weight lifting or machine exercises you need to also be aware of your eating habits.
If you are not getting the proper amount of protein in your diet, then you will not see affects from your workouts. Remember that diet and exercise go hand in hand.
So before you start doing the chest presses and the peck deck machines, be sure to have a nice protein shake and have one after too. One more thing, give yourself adequate rest after your workouts.
Overstraining your muscles can actually cause damage to muscles and ligaments if you are not careful. Safety first, and always have fun with weight lifting and machine exercises.
