Exercise In The Desert

I am well acquainted with the harsh desert climate, summers well over 100 degrees and winters below freezing. All in all, why the fetch did anyone ever decide to build a civilization in such places, any way they did.

Now people need to exercise, and it doesn't make any good sense to commute three hours to higher climates, so we have to learn how to adapt our exercises for such harsh environments. Firstly I suppose you could join a club or get a gym membership; but for those of us who are just humble copywriters with lots of lawsuit debt, well there are other ways to exercise.

First you are going to need the proper equipment. Instead of wearing clothes you should just drench yourself in sunscreen, at least until you have developed a nice foundation.

Eventually you will be able to run for an hour out in the desert sun, without getting blisters and sunburns or fainting. There are a few things to be aware of.

While in the desert, there is no humidity. Meaning if you open your mouth, you could dry up from the inside out.

Practice only breathing through your nose to conserve moisture and never spit. You can get beat up for such a valuable waist of moisture if some sees you doing that out here.

Crying is out of the question, you do that you are going to be shunned and exiled. So be sure you bring a lot of water and fluids.

Electrolytes are good for managing hydration and keeping your body full of moisture. This is how you are going to protect you from any sort of heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.

You take a fall in this climate; you may not be a person by the time you wake, but rather a piece of bacon. And gosh knows, the desert lizards are going to be happy at such a circumstance.

Heck even the lower class children my make use of your body before it is disintegrated by the heat. Human leather is very durable, and makes for great footballs.

So first you are going to have to watch the temperatures, get acclimated, and avoid midday sun. These are just precautions, to protect you from the harsh desert.

Once you are acclimated you will be able to explore the scenery during the day, so long as you have your hydration pack and you have refuel points. Lastly before going out door always have a backup plan.

Get maps of the city or town you are in, outline your bath around all the service areas. You never want to be more than 5 miles away from communications station.
