In all my life I have never seen such a diet as this. It is seriously one of the most astounding and scientifically studied diets I know of.
It combines a few different aspects of other diets, but for the most part there is no other diet that offers what this does. First thing you need to do for this diet is to become conscientious of your metabolism.
This diet requires you to divide foods into a few different groups, thus enhancing your digestion and metabolism to their full potential. Your metabolism works in funny ways, it is much like a person in its self.
You have your metabolism assigned one project, it is going to be able to knock it out relatively quick because it has its undivided attention, but if you have to projects sent to one man and told that man to do them at the same time.
He is going to waste a lot of time jumping back and forth between different projects. This is somewhat similar to the way that your intestinal tract works.
This diet divides food into seven different categories, and there are strict rules about what you can and can't do with your meals. For example in category D, are listed all the more acidic berries that should not be eaten anything else.
This is because the acidic content of the berries or fruit is going to deter your body from digesting and metabolizing thing. Another thing you shouldn't eat is ice cream, unless it is at least three hours before bedtime and there is no other foods being mixed with it.
This is just one of the categories the first category listed is titled, category A. This is made of healthy fats, lean meats and raw vegies... mostly the vegies.
This category of food is allowed to mix with category B, which is your starch family. Though with starch you shouldn't combine two different types otherwise you are asking for trouble.
The trick to this diet is eating only three meals a day and mixing specific foods that are going to work synergistically together within your metabolism. Also they teach in this diet, that a lot fruit cannot be combined with any other fruit, but bananas are a special exception and can be combined with anything.
I personally think it is because these are just about the only fruit with a high pH lever. All though I didn't ever look actually biological process of digestion and metabolism I really don't know the reason as to the obscure mixture of fruits.
Just know, don't mix starch or highly acidic fruit with anything. And eat bananas as a snack. Destry Masterson is a health and nutrition expert. She publishes articles for http://www.dailybread.com and recommends them for food storage.
