Who in the world doesn't like music? There isn't anybody.
Who in the world doesn't want to stay fit? Again, the answer is nobody.
So we have two questions that both result in the same answer, but how do we combine them? The answer for this is dancing.
Dancing is one of the best aerobic exercises in the history of man. Dancing can be predated all the way back to 3300 B.C. (that is three thousand years before we started A.D., which we are now in).
Perhaps these ancients were dancing to maintain good cardio health, or maybe they were just dancing for fun. Either way, the other comes too.
That is the pure genius of using dance as an exercise. Many times it is hard for people to stay motivated to keep moving during an exercise, but with dancing you cannot stop.
Well I suppose you could, but it would take an extreme effort of will and self-discipline. That's right; you are actually going to have to learn to discipline yourself not to exercise once you begin dancing.
Some people may say that dancing is not for them, this is simply not possible. Dancing is for them, because it is for everybody.
There are as many different styles of dance as there are of music, you simply have to find the one that fits you. Personally I like to dance the cha-cha, merengue, and sometimes I just do some free form Latin stepping.
I hear the kids like to do club dancing, which is a high energy type of dance requiring repetitive jumping in place and sometimes flailing of arms in circular motions. This is going to be an effective whole body routine that is going to put tension on every muscle; but the best part is, you never really notice how much you are exercising until the day after when you are suffering from an aching soreness throughout your suffering body.
The only bad thing about club dancing is that it has a very slight variant in demographic appeal (it is mainly for 18-25 year olds). Oh, and there are lots of drugs and abductions that are associated with such places.
But besides those two things clubs are for everybody. There are other forms of dancing that capitalize on the fact that it is good for health, Zumba is one of those.
Zumba is a high energy low impact full body aerobics routine that is fun. Usually they take popular music and turn up the bass, and then perform simple and yet appealing dance moves.
All in all, if you don't know what dancing is, you probably have never done it. And if you have never done it, then you probably don't know what it is.
