Basically, for a year's supply of food, you need about 60 pounds of beans per person, 300 pounds of grains, and one pound of each type of spice you like. Some raw organic sugar and some olive or coconut oil can also come in handy.

This is a lot cheaper than buying ready made storage meals. Plus, you will be a lot healthier by eating more simply of the high-fiber basics.

Stay away from storing any animal products. Recent research is abundant in the cause of diseases, and you will be a lot healthier to avoid them.

You will also save tons of money if you let go of the paranoia that you won't get your calcium unless you drink milk, and you won't get your protein unless you eat flesh or eggs.

Beans have a superior calcium and protein content as well as being a lot more nutrient dense in many vitamins and minerals. Grains are similar and can be sprouted in order to get your vitamin C and vitamin A.

If you get a grinder, you can make your own bread. The cheapest and simplest recipe is fresh ground wheat, some yeast and salt, and enough water to make some dough, then if you have an oven, you can cook the many varieties of bread that you may want to try.

You can make bread sticks, pizza crust, rolls, and tortillas. You can make bean soups, dips, and salads. It's also good if you can grow a garden and have some vegetables and fruits, but you can also store dehydrated varieties.

Vegetables make life interesting, so you can make your meals with variety and color. By eating all of these high-fiber foods, your health will start to improve.

Whatever disease you had will start to reverse. How do you get started the easiest way, just buy a big bag of potatoes.

They are the cheapest and easiest. Then, you can start accumulating some dry beans. One cup can become three cups when soaked and cooked.

Get some brown rice for your freezer, as well as some frozen vegetables that are on sale. You can make stir fry easily with this. Add in some other types of nuts and seeds for their fat content and protein.
