When you exercise you probably notice a few changes. Your breathing harder, you may be sweating, your heart beat is accelerated: these are perfectly normal responses to exercise.
Exercise is muscle activity, but it is more than that too. Exercise is physical exertion.
If you say you are exercising but do not notice any of the aforementioned side effects, then you are probably not working your body hard enough. When you work out you are not just contracting the muscle. You are doing that, but there are numerous other processes that have to happen in correspondence with such contraction for exercise to happen.

This means if you don't have a good heart, you are not going to be a good runner. You need both the legs and the heart to propel your body forward.
Same with swimming without the synergistic force of your arms, legs, your heart and even good lung strength you are going to be a poor swimmer. Though for the record, swimming is hard to master.
Besides having strong organs and muscles, you also have to have good circulation and oxidation. This is going to come from your circulatory system.
When we exercise we heat our body up and we burn oxygen in our muscles. If we are to exceed temperatures of 104 degrees Fahrenheit we could easily die.
Luckily for us our bodies also come equipped with a defense against internal heat. This is called sweating.
Believe it or not (better to believe it because it's true), sweating has saved your life. If it were not for sweating every athlete in the world would have died from an internal heat malfunction.
Sweating takes all the hot moisture from your body and pushes it out through the two million pores you have throughout your body. This is responsible for keeping you alive during physical exertion.
Start exercising and keep in mind, for overall health you need three things: moisture, oxygen and cardio strength. Each of these is going to play a vital role in your physical health.
