It sure is handy being able to store your things in lockers because you need someplace to put all of your belongings while you go on rides. You will especially need a place to store everything if you and your family go to a water park. You definitely would not want to get your things wet and you can always retrieve your belongings at any time of the day.
There are several benefits having a place where you can put your own belongings, but their also may be some disadvantages. You could keep your things safe from being damaged by water or being lost on a ride, it costs a few bucks more than your ticket to get in, you may lose your key, someone could steel your stuff, and you would have to walk back and forth to where your things are throughout the day.
It is nice not having to worry about your things when they are locked up in a safe place where only you have the key. You will not have to worry about them being stolen while you are on a ride and you do not have to worry about your things being damaged by water and having to replace everything. It should not be a good idea to take anything valuable to an amusement park.
Even though some parks, mostly water parks, charge you money to get a locker it is not a bad idea and is well worth it knowing your money and other important belongings would be kept safe. What a lot of people decide to do is wear something around there waist that is waterproof such as their license, car keys, and money.
Even though having your things in a locker may keep your things safe, it still is a pain to walk back and forth throughout the day especially if you have children. They could whine and complain all they want but you have to do whatever you can to keep your things locked away. Plus it may be a burden on you as well because you also have to take time out of your day to do all of that walking back and forth.
Usually water parks give you a key once they assign you to a locker, but anything can happen to it. You could lose it on an intense ride or it may fall off while you are in the water. Either way you lose it you are going to have to report it.
Some parks have your locker number on the key and some people may be desperate for money. Someone could easily find your key but instead of returning it to the front; they could use it to get your things. It is very rare that something like this would happen especially to you and your family. Plus it would ruin the rest of your day because you may have the cops and the park employees involved.
There are definitely some advantages and maybe some disadvantages to storing your things in lockers at amusement parks or water parks.
