Exercising is a tuff thing to do, and most of will probably do it for a day or two after vowing to get in shape for the one hundredth time. So where do we find the energy to burn the calories we don't want.
It is actually becoming increasingly simple to keep yourself distracted and entertained while working out. A lot of people like to treadmill in front of the television.
This is what I do if I want a quick cardio burn, but for my in-depth full body routine I use the pulse routine. This takes a little bit of time to set up, because you have to first have music.
Which most of us do, now create a play list specifically designed for your workout routine. Here is what I do.
I get a relatively easy paced song and I put it for the first track on my playlist. This is the song I am going to use to do simple stretches and maybe some warm up jumping jacks.
Make sure to use the entire song for a warm up, a big problem with trainees these days is they skip their warm up. This is not going to allow them to meet their full potential.
So, first song solely for stretches and light cardio pump. Then pick a relaxed song about 3 to 5 minutes long and use this to do a light jog.
The stretch song is to warm up the muscles the jog song is to warm up the cardio. After you have played through the two songs it is time to start the high intensity training.
I use songs with very driving choruses and verses that build a bit more. During the chorus push as hard and as fast as you can on whatever exercise it is you are doing.
Try to do these burst of high intensity workouts for as long as one minute. This is the best way to build muscle and burn fat, when you do slow light exercise for a long time your muscles get accustomed to the shock quickly.
When you work in intervals of high tension it shocks your muscles and tells them that they need to adapt for harder situations. I go through pushups, pull ups, revolving bicycle crunches and burpees.
So the whole routine isn't going to last more than twenty minutes at most. You ought to have worn yourself out, if you haven't within this time then you are not pushing hard enough on the interval, you may need to adapt your playlist to give you more energy.
