It's fall, and certain fruits and vegetables are in season at this time. The macrobiotic diet says that eating plants and plant foods that grow in each season help you deal with that season.
So, now it's fall and pomegranates are finally ripe. This is the one time of year that they are readily available for a good price.
Buying pomegranates in season will save your budget and your health. They are especially good for your health.
The raw fresh juice of the pomegranate is full of vitamin C and three very important antioxidants. These antioxidants happen to be abundant in fruit, but pomegranates have the greatest abundance of these cancer fighting attributes.
The juice is also known to be good for the digestive system since it gets rid of intestinal worms, namely tapeworms. Tapeworms are very tenacious and hard to get rid of if you don't have the right medicine.
Just as the juice will get rid of all these invaders, it is also good for fighting colon cancer. And not only that but every other cancer in the body including lung cancer.
Normally, people have been throwing the ivory colored pith that surround the red juicy berries. But, recently, a certain scientist has discovered that the pith and the tough red skin have an element that is healing to the organs, muscles, and emotions.
It's been found to strengthen the whole body including the immune system. And, since the immune system is the cure for cancer, anything you can do to strengthen it will aid in the prevention of cancer.
If you want to use the benefits of the whole pomegranate in your fight with cancer, make sure you eat plenty during the fall season. Maybe, they will come up with a pomegranate pill that has dehydrated and concentrated pomegranate substances to aid people in the other months of the year.
If you are lucky enough to learn about this information while you have cancer at any stage, and if it happens to be fall and they are readily available, then eat up. They will be most beneficial during the season.
If you don't want to get cancer, eat up. Everyone has cancer to some degree or another everyday, but their immune system takes care of it.
The white blood cells or macrophages have the job to eat up the cancer cells daily. Including lots of pomegranates in your daily menus during the fall will do a lot for you.
There are no rules to say you can't have two to three pomegranates for breakfast, then again at lunch, and for dinner too. If you have a strong blender or juicer, blend the whole fruit up.
Of course, too much of anything could be detrimental, but you can't go wrong with this fruit. Make sure you avoid animal products, which have been recently shown to cause cancer. The animal protein in flesh and dairy causes the cancer cells to grow.
There are many factors that can help you to have a better immune system. If you've had chemotherapy and your immune system has been compromised, then you need to be extra vigilant.
The cancer can return in two to three years without a strong immune system, so don't eat animal products, learn about the vegan diet, have positive emotions and anything else you can do to rebuild your immune system quickly. You can win the battle and have wonderful health. Destry Masterson is a health and nutrition expert. She publishes articles for http://www.foodinsurance.com and recommends them for food storage.
