The truth is that losing your beer belly is a process and that process all starts with examining what you are eating and drinking. A so-called "beer belly" can be created by beer, of course. Complex carbohydrates (whole grains) are actually good for your body. So, you don't need to avoid pastas and breads. You just need to substitute healthier versions of them.

Spread Out Your Food Intake!

Next, you need to learn how to spread out your food intake. Your metabolism needs food for fuel, but it can only use so much food at a time. If you eat only a couple of large meals per day, you force your body to store a lot of the food as excess fat. On the other hand, eating 4 to 6 smaller meals each day and spreading those meals out will help your body to burn off fat in an efficient manner, rather than storing it.

Increase Your Activity Levels!

Of course, one of the biggest and best ways to remove a beer belly is to work it off. So, you also need to increase your activity levels. Although, that doesn't necessarily mean doing boring exercise routines at an expensive gym.

Going to the gym is perfectly fine, if you like that sort of thing. However, it's also perfectly acceptable to take up a sport or activity that you enjoy. Swimming, bowling and golfing, for instance, can all be great ways to get some exercise. So can jogging, biking or dancing. It can all reduce your beer belly.
