Everybody eats food, but few of us actually know where our food is coming from. I'm sure you have heard the horror stories about all the sadistic things humans are doing to animals just so we can eat them.
But really the animal has nothing to do in life except for serve man. You have to understand a stupid chicken is never going to amount to anything more than a chicken.
However, if you capture that chicken, throw it in a cage, incubate the eggs, and foster new chickens guess what... you have just created a chicken farm. Now you can feed a few families for as long as you want.
Supposing, of course, that your chicken feed supplier's crop doesn't suddenly die. Even if it did though, you could still just start beheading the chicken and eating them rather than getting their eggs.
Plus I think after 14 days starvation period chickens start to produce more eggs as some sort of natural defense mechanism, so they can keep their family alive. So what is the issue everyone is so uptight about?
They say that we are treating these animals (that are bred for slaughter) poorly. Which there is no doubt about, we do, but they are animals and they are going to be killed so...
So first let's look at the fact that it is an animal, its simple mind cannot create memory, judge or even compose rational thought. These animals only live in a period of a few seconds.
Sure we cut their beaks which have a lot of sensitive nerve endings, but the stupid chicken is going to have forgotten the whole thing within a matter of minutes. Plus we are doing that so these retarded chickens don't peck each other to death.
If a chicken was living in the wild it would have just as hard a time, but with less food. All a chicken can understand is that it wants to eat.
These chickens that are crammed 10 to a cage and fed constantly day in day out are probably much happier than the skinny wild chickens scurrying about looking for seeds to peck at. Yes we do slaughter chickens, but not in a way a feral dog or cat would.
We just cut their throats and run them through a feather incinerator. A dog is going to open up their fat little body and start eating the dumb chicken while it is still alive.
Animal cruelty is an issue that shouldn't exist. As a human I know that those animals are only one earth to better my life.
Anyone who thinks that animals deserve fair treatment must think of themselves as an animal. Don't be fooled by the animal cruelty propaganda, they are just animals.
