Essentially holistic health is the combination of all aspects of life. In diagnosis you have to take account physical health, mental health, and even spiritual health.
Doctors are not paid to treat patients in this manner, so they are not going to advocate it. That would be like a PC salesmen going out of his way to tell you all the benefits from a mac.
You see, it is a conflict of interest. Even though most doctors have no idea or any knowledge about holistic health, there is still a lot of scientific evidence and research that has gone into the subject.
There have been countless stories of cancer patients in stage three or four, completely healing themselves just through holistic remedies. When you look at it objectively it makes sense.
You see medications and pharmaceuticals they all work by masking ailments or just by killing everything in the system, this quite often ends up being counterproductive. You do not want to amputate an arm if you have tick in it, and you don't want to just put a band aid over it either.
The best thing to do is to shake it off before it does any damage. This is a very crude metaphor for how holistic health works to benefit your body, but is none the less accurate.
There are three different tiers of overall health. There is physical health, mental health, and spiritual health.
Holistic practitioners will combine these, so that they work synergistically with each other. For example, if you are having trouble falling asleep, which would be considered a mental or nervous disorder, you could go to your doctor and get a prescription for Ambien, on the other hand you could try walking up earlier and exercising throughout the day.
Now honestly which one sounds easier? The first one does.
But, which one sounds better? The latter is definitely going to be better on your health than the first would be.
You wouldn't have to deal with all the side effects from the drugs, and you would be getting a healthier body through exercise. So you can see the correlation between, what would be considered in contemporary medicine, "two different tiers of health".
All aspects of health are, in fact, related and affected by each other. The real meat of holistic lifestyles comes from the diets that come along with them.
The world has turned to fast food, processed foods and junk foods, unfortunately these industries have become a capital structure in society, because foolishly people by their unhealthy, nutrient robbed foods.
