Diseases like ADHD and SCTD are becoming more and more prevalent these days. Why is that?
Studies show that the medications approved by the FDA are actually counterproductive and create more problems than the fix; in fact, studies show that in cases of ADHD there were no measurable improvements in patients that took medication. Even the medical definition for ADHD is a spotty; basically it is "you know it when you see it."
That is the regimen that doctors use to diagnose children these days. The pharmaceutical companies actually pay doctors to diagnose children with diseases like attention deficit disorder, sluggish cognitive temp disorder or hyper activity.
That wouldn't be bad if these drugs didn't come with the despicable side effects that they house. Studies show that such chemicals as amphetamines (the main component of psycho-stimulants) actually create brain atrophy.
For those of you who are not med-students atrophy is basically where something (in this case the brain) wastes away. There is measurable deterioration in the brains of children and adults that take these chemicals.
So in summation, there is no measurable benefit that comes from these drugs, but there is scientific proof that these actually destroy the brain. Why are these legal?
The pharmaceutical industry is the fastest growing industry in America right now. It is a money game, lobbyist are paid to sway verdict and legislation on these drugs.
It sounds like a conspiracy, I know, but the truth is these drugs are being distributed and they do cause problems. They are essentially the same thing as any controlled or illegal substances.
So how do we treat people with these disorders? The brain is just like a muscle.
You can strengthen it and develop it in any way you want. That is actually what monks spend their life practicing.
Neurologists have done recorded studies showing that these monks can actually activate specific parts of their brain, which from a pharmaceutical stand point would take external chemical components to do. Just by practicing thinking they became better at it.
ADHD is simply the lack of desire to concentrate. Everybody is, to some degree, attention deficit.
For example in a history class I am going to struggle with paying attention, because I am not interested with that. Do I need to be medicated to control my attention?
The answer is no, I just need to practice some self-discipline and I will be alright. Things as simple as healthy diets and proper sleep have been shown to affect concentration.
So you might not have a chemical imbalance in your brain, you could very easily just be mal-nourished or sleep deprived. The secret to health is knowledge.
