Look at yourself. Take a look at your future where you would like to be, your present what you are doing to take you there, and finally look at your past to see how far you have come.
Have you made any changes for the better toward the objectives you would like to achieve? If the answer is no, ask yourself why.
Maybe you will say that everything in life is exactly the way it should be, or that you are happy with the way things are. Well things can always be better.
Even though it is a virtue to find the joys in the simple things, it is also a virtue to find ambition within yourself. So even if you like everything about you right now, try to find one thing that you could improve or make better.
You don't have to sever any limps or break any relations, but think about what you could do to make them better. Take your least likeable trait and find a way to change it for the better. As a human you are going to thrive on routine, but if you are not being challenged you are not going to find peace.
Joy or peace or happiness, aren't things that you can buy. They are things you have got to work for.
Of course monetary means can help to bring about different avenues for joy, peace or happiness. But money, in itself, will not provide happiness.
However, the feat or act of acquiring money can bring happiness into one's life. Having an object and completing goals is going to create a filling of fulfillment and worth.
Many people are going to struggle with their bodies. Modern life requires very little physical effort for most of us.
You don't even have to stand and walk to get food anymore; you can just drive through a McDonalds or Burger King. Now days there is a much different battle than people were fighting a hundred years ago.
A hundred years ago, there were very few vaccines and there was hardly any surgical equipment and people would die around the ripe old age of 50 if they lived a full life. Now basically anyone who takes care of themselves will live to be a hundred.
Today's battle is much more a spiritual battle verses lethargy and depressive thought and addictions, rather than that physical battle our ancestors fought. To defeat these things we have to use our bodies, we have to push our shoulder to the wheel (literally).
Physical activity is going to promote numerous mental, emotional and physical benefits. Find purpose and joy in your life, start making simple changes here and there, just for the betterment of yourself. Destry Masterson is a health, fitness and nutrition expert.
