Don't Bee Fooled About Pollen

Ever since the ancients: the Greeks, Romans, and even the Egyptians, there has been the theory that bee pollen is a natural curing health sustaining substance. Because of the natural curing, health healing, disease treating properties of this, it has earned the title of "super-food" and "food of the gods".

Most people these days would say they are agnostic or Christian. Either way a single food feeding multiple gods doesn't really appeal as a plausible idea for most.

However, you cannot deny the existence of "super-foods" such as acai, salmon, broccoli... basically any food that is super nutritious qualifies as a "super-food". As the souls of religious debaters hound at each other's beliefs, the real question is: is bee pollen actually beneficial?

Just because it has been used for centuries doesn't mean that it is effective. There are plenty of things that people have been giving up because of poor old fashioned thinking.

For example, hardly anyone is every sacrificed for the good of society. Though neither ancient Greeks nor Romans, - or even the Egyptians- none of them sacrificed people.

The point is, just because it has been around forever doesn't mean it is great. Look none of those people that claimed bee pollen to be useful are even alive any more.

Despite it being physically impossible (because they lived thousands of years ago), the point still remains. Perhaps if bee pollen was the "food of the gods", then not all these major societies that are said to be such pollen advocates would be gone and destroyed.

Hippocrates is the paragon of ancient physicians, is said to have written about all the numerous benefits of bee pollen. Though, people cannot be sure, if those writings actually came from Hippocrates or if they were just second hand dribble.

The fact of the matter is modern scientists have found no actual benefits from the bee pollen. Among numerous researches, not a single one turned results showing that these pollens are going to do either good or bad to the consumer.

Well actually there were a few negative effects, when pollen was met by allergic reaction. So if you are allergic to pollen, then it is definitely not going to be in your best interest to try eating it for health.

So you can listen to modern science or you can listen to the paragon-of-ancient-medicine's second hand notes. There is no real way to know which is right and which is not, unless you test it for yourself.

Clinical trials have shown that there have neither been bad nor good effects from bee pollen consumption. So testing for yourself is the best way to see if the benefits or not benefits or right for you.
