The body thrives on resistance, and that is a basic principle of life. Whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, as the saying says.
When you dope yourself up you are not strengthening your body, but actually just numbing your body to whatever ails you. Now vaccinations and other things are very useful for health, because those actually do strengthen your body.
However, medications that dope the body or cover up symptoms are not going to do any good for the body. Cold medicines for example, these essentially are numbing agents.
Numbing your body from illness isn't going to help you get better, it is only going to dumb you down to a point where you do not recognize the discomfort of your illness. Common cold medicine, for an example, actually kills the body's natural defenses and can cause common colds to become much worse.
That is the way most medications work; they cover up symptoms and mask illness rather than strengthen the body. Synthetic chemical substances do not work to strengthen the body, but they can help to kill bacteria both the good and bad kind.
Bacteria, though they sound dangerous, actually help to protect the body. Killing them all can be just as harmful as it can be helpful.
The best way to strengthen the body is through holistic means. Mother Nature has provided a way to be healthy and all you have to do is apply her methods.

A big player in health is the lymphatic system, and this, regrettably, has no internal pump like the circulatory system does. The purpose of the lymph system is to pull and strain garbage from the blood.
Now to do this you have to excite the lymphatic system through motion, and research has shown that jumping up and down is the best way to do it. Of course jogging is also going to be effective and even swimming will do some work on the lymphatic system.
