Many people who work low impact jobs do not get any exercise or not enough to constitute physical development. The body needs pressure and tension, it feeds on resistance.
If you are not pushing your body to its limits then it is only going to start working to maintain what it has to perform. The body is adaptable, amazingly adaptable in fact, and because of this trait it is constantly working to maintain homeostasis.
Balance is in the center of nature, you need to have as much energy expenditure as intake otherwise you start gaining or losing weight. If you are not working your muscles then the body will start to assume that you do not need them.
Neglecting yourself is just as bad as treating yourself badly-well close to as bad. Exercise is a necessary activity for survival at a physiological level; the body needs to have external catalytic forces otherwise it will begin to deteriorate.
Essentially if you want to be healthy you have to work for it. It is the cruel system of vindictive Mother Nature, but that is the way it is.
Diabetes is a huge concern these days; it is now the seventh leading cause of mortality and the number one leading cause of morbidity. People say that it is genetic, which is partly true, but there is a lot you can do to fight and prevent diabetes even if you have a bad genetic code.
According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), just twenty minutes of exercise a day along with a healthy diet can reduce the risk of type two diabetes by close to sixty percent. The exact test showed subjects consuming seven percent less than average, because of the direct correlation between weight and diabetes.
This goes to show there is firm correlation between programs with increased physical exercise and reduced incidence of type two diabetes. This entire study was done in a group of individuals with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT).
IGT is the pre-diabetic state of dysglycemia which is associated with insulin resistance. Further studies on subjects who were afflicted by type two diabetes, showed that symptoms significantly decreased with the exercise and lowered caloric intake.
ADA says, the only types of exercises that are necessary are cardio exercises, such as bike riding, swimming and jogging. All you need to do is start doing the entertaining exercises, and soon your body will be repairing itself from the inside out, insulin won't be as hard to manage, and you will be able to live a happy successful life.
Start exercising today and watch your life change right before your eyes. You will be surprised at the benefits.
