So many people are constantly making excuses why they don't want to, or worse, don't need to work out. The people that are extremely skinny and completely lazy, have you ever heard them say something like "I'm already skinny if I exercise I will disappear completely".
First off, that is ridiculous- no one in the entire history of the human race has every simply vanished because they started doing exercises, and secondly that is based on the radically fallacious concept that exercise only serves one purpose: to lose weight. Exercise can actually do a lot more than just burn calories and melt fat, it actually strengthens immunity and increases emotional peace and stability.
Even skinny people can gain benefits from exercise, so next time your lanky friend is about to open their thin lips you can explain to them the fallacy in their thoughts. Usually this will result in them saying something like "Thank you, friend, for illuminating my misconception, perhaps all the ideas I base my fringe beliefs upon are also wrong".
Another good way to not exercise while sincerely trying to is by watching exercise videos without actually doing anything more than occasionally adjusting the volume and maybe taking a bathroom break. No matter how hard those people are sweating, simply watching other people exercise will do nothing more than burn holes in the retinas of your eyes.
If you are one of those who has an extensive collection of videos without actually ever performing the routines, perhaps you need to step back, view your life objectively, and determine if these videos are helping or inhibiting physical progression. If in the case that these are nothing more than inhibitory videos that solely distract you, you might want to try actually joining an aerobics class.
Safe to assume that videos are made to inspire and motivate you, if they are not working then you may need to take it up a notch. If you find yourself sitting around and watching the people around you in an aerobics class, the only help you can get may be from a personal trainer.
This is called the vicarious fallacy, when you think by watching other people you yourself are doing what they are doing. Scientists believe that this notion is spawned from watching too much television and playing to many video games.
The idea is that the subject actually has immersed themselves so deeply into the virtual world they view on the screen they actually forget about reality and feel as if they are also in that world. Of course no one has ever pulled a "Tron" and fallen into a virtual world, at least not according to modern sciences. Destry Masterson is an author who has written hundreds of articles.
