Kids these days, they take it for granted that everyone should be able to run down a bike trail while listening to their favorite music. With the invention of the MP3 player than the Ipod, the quality of music has had to change a lot.
Just thirty years ago music was produced on 8-track players with sound quality equivalent to a barking dog. Back then if you wanted music you needed a bulky 8-tack player, which would be impossible to run with.
These big bulky music apparatus where neat at the time, but in retrospect it is clear that the poor sound quality and short amount of music that could be played had its effect on society. Back then all the good bands where the ones that sounded great live, but now things have changed.
Now all the good bands are the ones that have high quality recording and thick tantalizing timbre. These are also the best for correlating with the excitatory neurons in the brain.
These electronic sounds are capable of resonating with the brain at such velocities that nature could never create, and this causes a motivational effect that is addictively close to externally ingested steroids. Using awesome music and a great pair of head phones in conjunction with steroids would be a great way to get some results almost instantly, but steroids have a lot of negative effects on the mind and body.
Some music is going to be so motivating that it actually seems to cheapen the exercise, almost as if you, yourself, were not the one doing the workout but just a conduit for the music to pass through. In a sense, you are just a biological catalyst that's purpose is to realize the fruition of the music by acting it out in a physical manner.
So in a sense it is not you that is doing the exercising when you are using ETM methods, but the positive side to this is you get the same physical benefits. As of yet scientist have found no negative repercussions to music, so you can listen as much as you want without having any mood swings or hormonal imbalances, which would likely be caused by other stimulants.
The best most stimulating music is the type with fresh timbres and heavy beats that are composed of poly-metric rhythms. You want the heavy tempo to hold your body in the captivating routine, while the timber keeps your mind tantalized and distracted, and the poly-metric rhythms keep the whole song interesting so you don't accidently start thinking about anything besides the song.
