The Basics About Exercise

Fitness is your ability to perform to your full potential; fitness is to the body what fine tuning is to a car. Physical fitness helps you to perform every task in daily life, from the menial tasks of placing the keys in the ignition of your car to the strenuous task of walking up three sets of three stairs to get to the door that lead to the office you work in.

Fitness is also going to benefit your life in many ways that are not as obvious, such as it will improve your emotional state of wellbeing and it will also increase your mental acuity. So when you start your exercise routine you need to understand a few things.

First off results are greatly dependent on diet, exercise, proper rest, sex, age, heredity and personal habits. Try and create a realistic goal that you can accomplish, overwhelming yourself is just going to deter you from the whole prospect of exercising.

Secondly you should know the different types of strength that will need to be developed. Cardiorespiratory is the most important to exercise, this is going to drastically change your ability in strength training, stretching and even in plyometric training.

Cardio health is just the health of your heart and its ability to pump blood through the body. The blood carries oxygen to the different muscles, and oxygen is one of the key components of ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

ATP is the chemical that creates action throughout the body. So the brain tells the muscles to contract by sending a shock through the nervous system, then the muscle start using ATP to pull a moderately sized dumbbell up toward the shoulder.

Oxygen is going to give you energy. The best way to start feeling like you have excess energy throughout the day is by doing cardio exercise.

Once your body is used to expending more energy doing pointless running, you will be much more comfortable in daily life. It really isn't pointless though because you are in the long term developing energy levels, and this can affect every aspect of your life.

Whether you have a hard time staying awake in class or if you have a hard time focusing at work, running will increase the power of the heart to promote oxygen thus creating more energy. Working the heart will also allow you to work your other muscle more effectively as well.

Start exercising for whatever reasons you can think of, and see how it changes your entire life. Good luck and get fit.
