When you exercise you get buff. This can be both a benefit and a reason to exercise.
Some people are going to exercise because they want to live longer or they want to be more comfortable throughout their daily lives. Pfft, honestly, there is one reason to exercise and that is because it makes you look awesome.
Of course you need two types of exercise for this: aerobic and strength training. Aerobics are going to be cardiorespiratory exercises that build the strength of your heart and enable you to pump more blood through your coursing veins.
When you increase your hearts ability to pump blood you are simultaneously increasing your veins ability to handle the blood. This means you are going to decrease the risk of heart attack when you age.
Not that you care about aging, it is not like you are exercising to stay feeling young. The reason you are going to want to do cardio exercise is because it is going to allow you to burn a tremendous amount of calories in the body.
Calories burn through ATP (adenosine triphosphate) this is the chemical inside the cell that creates electric pulses that trigger locomotion. Even though that is not at all interesting, it is still beneficial to know because you are aware that caloric fat is only one part of ATP, and the other is oxygen.
Yes if you are feeling exhausted and you don't know why, it could be because you are not getting enough oxygen. So what do you do?
Get on a treadmill and get some cardio pumping. If you are burning out in your strength training exercises early it is probably because you have a weak heart.
Cardio training is basically just strength training for the heart, ya dig? You got to have a good powerful cardiovascular system otherwise you will not be able to develop physically in any way.
After the heart has been strengthened then you will be ready to start building the veneer glamour muscles that everybody loves. These muscles are also going to do a great deal for your confidence.
It is a common misconception that these glamour muscles do nothing, when in fact they create a world of difference. Imagine if you were under a burning log that had fallen from the ceiling during a house fire and the only way to get it off your chest was by using your triceps and pectoral muscles.
Well this specific event is unlikely, and you are probably not going named batman. But anyway, the point is exercising would help you in a situation like that.
