The first step is hydration. It may seem like a belly full of water, but it is actually the fastest way to boost your metabolism in the morning and increase your energy throughout the day.
Water is made of two things hydrogen and oxygen, interesting right. Here is where it gets good; the body requires oxygen to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate) the chemical that actually burns calories, so if you are trying to get energy you are going to need water.
The ATP is fed by two sources breath and water, both of these sources are going to provide the blood with oxygen to carry to the muscles where the ATP will be put to use in the mitochondria of the muscle cell and then your body will be kick started into powerful locomotion. It is really as simple as that, and all you have to know about it is that water is going to give you energy, especially in the morning when you haven't drank anything for the last eight hours.
Speaking of not drinking for eight hours, this is approximately the length of time you should spend sleeping, which is step number two in the four step process to fitness. Sleep is the only time the body can actually start to repair itself.
Everything you do throughout the day is just going to stimulate a reaction later in the night. If you tore apart your muscles by doing some intense weight training then the body is going to repair and fortify those muscles while you are cozily unconscious in your bed, now isn't that nice.
Why do the muscles need to be repaired? Because of step three: strength training.
At least twice a week for optimal health you should undergo some rigorous weight training, body weight resistance is the most advisable, but it is easy to get a very thorough and dynamic workout through machine exercise, though that is more expensive and less convenient. Along with healthy eight glasses of water a day and eight hours of sleep a night, you need to have thirty minutes of strength training twice a week.
Strength training is going to actually create the shape of your body. Many people do not realize that if they want to have broad shoulders and big pectorals than running alone will not cut it.
Now running the last and finally step, it is best to run every day even on the days where you strength train, but if that is too much you do not have too. So get some hearty cardiorespiratory exercise daily or close to it along with water, rest and periodic strength training, within a month you will begin to see noticeable change in your life.
