In X-men: First Class, 2011, Hugh Jackman played the character Wolverine, who is a mutant with the super-human ability to heal and stay young looking and also has adamantine alloy lining his skeletal structure. In real life Hugh Jackman is not a mutant he is just some super fit dude that was 42 during the filming of the aforementioned movie.
Many people have wondered how this guy keeps up his semi-mutant-like ability to stay looking super fit. Luckily for you guys reading the Huffington Post asked Hugh how he does it.
Turns out this guy basically is a freaking mutant. Before you go any further tally how many of these things you do daily, and when the list has ended check yourself to see if you are as self-disciplined and motivated as Mister Hugh.
On a daily basis this animal runs seven or eight miles. Ok good we have a few people counting their tally.
Besides running for miles every single day, he also swims in the ocean. Fair enough, you don't swim, the ocean is not accessible to everyone, but then again you can find an excuse for anything if you really want to.
He boxes too. Ok, now count your tally, how much are you and Hugh Jackman really alike?
Forgot one more thing, he dances on Broadway, which is something no one that reads this article has ever or will ever do. Yup, essentially this guy is a beast; he works hard to keep his young, fit, healthy body.
But rigorous daily exercise isn't the only thing he does; he is an avid lover of healthy foods. He treats his body like a temple, a temple that only eats fresh foods packed with nutrients.
The running is a great way to keep fit; it basically spurs muscular development in every single area of the body. Research shows that running will actually put 230 plus muscles under tension during the routine.
The more muscle mass you have tension applied to the more caloric burn you get. Swimming too is one of the most extensive and overall holistically beneficial exercises.
Just think of all the muscles it requires to propel yourself while you are in water. Boxing is a very high energy exercise that is going to get your metabolism burning on over drive for a good 48 hours, and top it all off with dancing in Broadway.
Basically you have some dude that is really, really awesome. This guy has been determined his whole life to keep fit and look good, sort of like the Olympic athletes that compete for gold medals.
Health and fitness is a lifestyle, so next time you say that these super fit actors don't work worth nothing, check yourself. They exude a diligent amount of discipline in their daily lives to maintain such physiques and good looks. Destry Masterson is a health, fitness and nutrition expert.
