Everybody wants to be fit, but with aging bodies sometimes it can be a real challenge. The fact of the matter is your metabolism isn't as fast, your body doesn't heal as well as it used to, and if you're women who has gone through menopause (somewhere between the ages of 45 to 55) your bones are probably brittle as twigs.
Don't worry, even though you have a little bit of age under your belt and your bones are not as strong as the younger girls' you can still get in shape easy as pie. There is one exercise that is proven by NASA to be more effective than anything else.
Rebounding is a holistic approach to health, meaning you not only get a great physique but you are also going to cleanse your mind and relax your soul. Now the reason menopause was brought up is because the whole bone density thing.
As people age they get weaker bones, women in particular, this is what leads to so many hip replacements. However, by simply creating blood flow through the bones you can re-increase the density and strength of said bones.
Of course you have to have the proper nutrients to feed those bones as well, meaning calcium and vitamin D. The problem is most exercises are going to create a jarring effect on the joints, which could be detrimental and disadvantageous.
Rebounding doesn't actually create any jarring impact on the bones. The fall is slowly absorbed through the rebounders pad and so instead of a jarring-whip-lash effect there is a smooth halt that keeps all the tension in the muscles throughout the entire routine.
Because the tension never leaves the muscles, the exercise is said to be 65 percent more effective than running, by NASA anyways. Because there is not tension put upon the joints anyone can rebound, no matter how much brittle your bones are.
So it is effective and it isn't going to hurt, but that is not even the half of it. If you have ever taken a physiology class in college you will know slightly about the endocrine system and the lymphatic system, both of which are going to be stimulated extensively by rebounding, meaning great health benefits.
The endocrine system does a lot to produce and regulate hormones, create energy, and promote over all wellness. The lymphatic system is in charge of straining toxins from the blood.
Turns out jumping in place on a rebounding mat will stimulate their productivity, any locomotion will really but the up and down movement in particular will do it better than most. So stop wasting time watching golden girls, and start rebounding while you watch golden girls. Destry Masterson is a health, fitness and nutrition expert.
